Earwire Choices

I am happy to change out an earwire on a pair of earrings whenever that's possible.     My standard earwire for my polymer clay earrings are silver-plated and gold-plated, because the earring components themselves, while time-and-effort intense, are less expensive than gemstones, silver and gold beads, and Czech glass.  But I understand some people are allergic to anything other than sterling silver or gold.  So please email me if you need or want a specific earwire and I will do my best to accommodate you!
I have six choices to offer:
Large Sterling Silver French Hook with coil and ball.
11/16 inch long from the top to where the earring hangs from the bottom loop.  7/8 inch from the top to the end of the wire.
This should be worn with a backing so it doesn't fall out of the ear.  Several different rubber backings are easily available online, and I include a pair with each set of earrings you buy.

Small Sterling Silver French Hook with coil.

Just over 1/2 inch from the top to where the earring hangs from the bottom loop.  11/16 inch from the top to the end of the wire.
This should be worn with a backing so it doesn't fall out of the ear.  Several different rubber backings are easily available online, and I include a pair with each set of earrings you buy.

Sterling Silver Lever back.
These hinge open and then clip back into themselves, so there's little chance of losing them.   Just over 10/16 inch from the top to where the earring hangs from the bottom loop.

 14 karat Gold-filled French Hook.

10/16 inch from the top to where the earring hangs from the bottom loop.
This should be worn with a backing so it doesn't fall out of the ear.  Several different rubber backings are easily available online, and I include a pair with each set of earrings you buy.

14 karat Gold-Filled Lever back.
These hinge open and then clip back into themselves, so there's little chance of losing them.   Just over 10/16 inch from the top to where the earring hangs from the bottom loop.
Gold-plated French Hook.
9/16 inch from the top to where the earring hangs from the bottom loop. 9/16 inch also from the top to the end of the wire.
This should be worn with a backing so it doesn't fall out of the ear.  Several different rubber backings are easily available online, and I include a pair with each set of earrings you buy.
