Larvikite is a lovely stone with many translucent layers of gray, black, and a mica sheen....named after the Larvik Fjord area in Norway where it is found.  

These dainty earrings are done in sterling silver -- with a Larvikite square of 3/8 inches, topped with a sterling roundelle, a small labradorite bead, and a tiny sterling round bead.   Wire-wrapped so it will never pull out, the dangle hangs from a small Sterling French Hook earwire.
