These little beauties have an interesting, dimensional texture and are hand-painted in tones of magenta, gold and copper.  I call them a "shield" shape -- but they could also be seen as kite-shaped.  They are finished and protected with multiple coats of a soft gloss varnish.

The backs are painted in a glossy black.  

The tiny ice-pick bails and French Hook earwires are gold-plated brass.

Total length:  1 3/8 inches.

Size of the handpainted bead:  3/4 inch tall by just over 1/2 inch wide
