I took the title from Shelley's poem "Ozymandius" -- although there are no ruins in this piece! I love the spaciousness that comes from leaving so much of the background painting revealed -- and the glow from painting part of the background with shimmering layer of gold paint. I hand-painted all the papers except for the tiny dark piece in the upper right corner, which comes from a William Morris paper.
